About Me

Hello , my name is LIse and I will be fifty years old this year!  I live in Ontario Canada , I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2006. The illness has scarred my lungs and skin on my lower legs.   I deal with inflammation throughout my body and especially my sinuses.

I was hoping  I would get better within the 2 year mark  as most cases but   unfortunately I have the Chronic form of the disease.  I am unable to work , drive or walk very far due to severe shortness of breath but I am an optimist and manage to live a happy quiet life.

I am blessed with a wonderful partner who helps me both physically and emotionally     :)  I have Sarcoidosis but it doesn't have me!!!    I  pray for a cure to this terrible disease, hopefully it will be in my lifetime!

Hi Lise, welcome aboard. I too have the inflammation all through my body. I have had this horrible condition since the seventies. I, like you, have always maintained that I have it but it doesn't have me!! Lately I have shortness of breath and will have a Cat scan this week. I am so glad to see people coming on board to help us get the news out that Sarcoidosis is not RARE!!
